Clarity is in the details.
Four finishes. Simple names. Each Optolite finish adds invisible layers to the lens surface — to resist scratches, cut reflections, filter blue light or shed water and smudges. Choose the features that matter to your day.

Less surface reflection.
An uncoated lens reflects some of the light that hits it — you see it as glare, ghost images of lamps at night, and white flashes in photos. Anti-reflection layers reduce reflected light at the lens surface.
- Your eyes are easier to seeOthers see you, not reflections — great for conversations, video calls and photos.
- Fewer distractionsLess glare from headlights, street lamps and screens.

Made for screen-heavy days.
Blue Shield combines anti-reflection with a blue-light filter option. Phones, laptops and LED lighting all emit blue light — Blue Shield is the Optolite finish for people who spend long hours in front of them.
No filtration percentage or certified performance claim is made. Illustration is conceptual.
Water beads. Smudges wipe away.
SHMC stands for Super Hydrophobic Multi-Coating. On top of the anti-reflection layers, Premium SHMC adds a super-hydrophobic surface. Water forms tight beads that roll off instead of spreading, and fingerprints and smudges are easier to clean.
- Easier cleaningA quick wipe with a microfibre cloth.
- Clearer in the rainDrops bead and run off rather than smearing.
Durability, built in.
Every Optolite finish starts with a scratch-resistant hard coat. It helps lenses stand up to everyday handling — cleaning, cases, pockets and bags. It’s the essential choice on its own, and the foundation under every other finish.

Frequently asked questions
What does an anti-reflection (AR) coating do?
Anti-reflection layers reduce light reflected from the lens surfaces. Others see your eyes more clearly through your glasses, and you see fewer distracting reflections — useful at night and in photos and video calls.
What is Blue Shield?
Blue Shield combines anti-reflection with a blue-light filter option. It is popular with people who spend long hours on screens. No filtration percentage or certified performance claim is made.
What is Premium SHMC?
SHMC stands for Super Hydrophobic Multi-Coating. Premium SHMC adds a water- and smudge-repellent top layer to the anti-reflection finish, so lenses are easier to clean.
Does Hard Coat make lenses scratch-proof?
No lens is scratch-proof. A hard coat adds scratch resistance for everyday wear. Use a microfibre cloth, keep glasses in a case, and avoid wiping lenses dry when dusty.
